Evolution of a Room

Our client's Master Bedroom has many great advantages: it's large, it has light coming from both the east and west sides of the house, a fireplace and a private deck. But it needed some work to make it feel romantic and take advantage of a stunning view from the large windows (spanning over 10 feet!).

We painted ceilings and walls, added beautiful new carpet, great window treatments and finished it off with new lighting and de-cluttering.

Off-white walls and typical beige carpet don't do justice to the generous proportions of this light-filled room.

The draperies are HANGING off the rods! The fabulous view is absolutely ignored.

The goal of the project is to create a Master Bedroom that feels like a Bed and Breakfast retreat.
C2 Paint's "Afterglow" on the walls takes advantage of both the eastern and western exposures. This color adds instant charm and warmth.

The top treatments consists of double-layered silk swags with beaded trim and hand-painted rods. The rods are metallic gold topped with cream glaze.
Romance achieved!

Privacy roman shades complement the silk swags.
It's important to pay attention to details, here you see the installer steaming the draperies during installation.
